Celebrating Community Volunteers

Treaty Territory & Land Acknowledgement

The Gimli Ice Festival acknowledges that we are on Treaty 1 territory and that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of Anishinaabeg, including the Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Dene Peoples, and the homeland of the Metis Nation.  With meaningful intent, we acknowledge and continue our journey towards the more collaborative engagement in reconciliation for both the indigenous community and non-indigenous Canadians.

Welcome
